I've been putting in a request for this issue of the Adobe PDF Viewer not working with Mozilla products on Mac. As well as the issue with URL not working In Mcrosoft Office for Mac since version OSX.2.8. So if the text says www.link.com and the url is the same then the hyperlink shows up in the pdf. However, if you edit the display text to just show 'link' then the hyperlink is lost when you email the pdf. Both links appear the same in Word for the iPad. Subtle but frustrating. If you want to make changes to the PDF after saving it, return to your original 2007 Microsoft Office system file in which you created it and save the file as PDF again. To learn more, see Learn about PDF and XPS file formats. Further testing: Saved the eMail attachment as file.RTF. OS X app, Preview, opens RTF files by default (but will not open DOCX) and will export file as a PDF file in which the links DO persist. Contrarily, the PDF file produced from Word File|Save As -> PDF or File|Print -> PDF has no actual links again. Stupid thing is that ever since the most recent MAC Office update, I can no longer save Word docs as a pdf and have the links retained. Thank you so much for this suggestion to google docs as a workaround. Office for mac pdf links. Apple Mail by Apple All dashkards™ are licensed cc:by-nc.
